AO Spine was set up in the late 1990s by a group of surgeons, who realized the potential of a specialist organization with a focus on spine. Luiz Vialle became AO Spine’s 4th Chairperson fourteen years ago, and he is a globally influential figure. His legacy is stronger than ever, and he talked with Hannah Shellswell about how how he sees the past and future of AO Spine, from today’s perspective.
